Dr Natalie Muth
Natalie Muth, MD, MPH, MBA, RDN, FAAP, DABOM, FACSM is a board-certified pediatrician, registered dietitian, and obesity medicine specialist. She is the founder of Dr. Natalie Muth, PC Pediatric Nutrition, Lifestyle, and Obesity Medicine, a California-based telehealth practice that provides comprehensive obesity care to children and adolescents.
She is also co-founder and CEO of Namio Health, Inc, providing the best-practice family healthy lifestyle program for families throughout the U.S., based on the American Academy of Pediatrics guidelines for Intensive Health Behavior and Lifestyle treatment.
Dr. Muth spent 13 years in primary care pediatric practice where she was the founder and director of the Children's Primary Care Medical Group WELL Clinic, where she helped 1000s of families improve their health and nutrition and better prevent and treat pediatric obesity. She trained over 100 pediatric clinicians to provide more effective best-practice obesity care.
Dr. Muth is the author of 7 books, including the parenting books - The Family Fit Plan: A 30-Day Wellness Transformation; The Picky Eater Project: 6 Weeks to Healthy, Happy Family Mealtimes; How to Raise Healthy Eaters: Starting Solids; and "Eat Your Vegetables!" And Other Mistakes Parents Make: Redefining How to Raise Healthy Eaters. She's also authored The Clinician's Guide to Pediatric Nutrition, Sports Nutrition for Health Professionals (now in its third edition) and her newest book in progress The Clinician's Guide to Pediatric Obesity.
She is a national spokesperson for the American Academy of Pediatrics, past chair of the AAP Section on Obesity, and member of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers. She is a recognized expert in pediatric nutrition and obesity and has appeared widely in print and television media.
Dr. Muth received her medical degree from University of North Carolina and completed her residency at UCLA where she is currently an Adjunct Associate Professor at the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health.
